Sweetpea is extremely pleased to announce that we have received a $5000 grant from Greater Worcester Community Foundation, Inc./Rosemary Davis Memorial Fund “to aid in the costs necessary to rebuild and open.” We are very thankful for this grant and will be using it to help complete the shelter rebuild. Thanks to the generosity of the Foundation, we are now a lot nearer reopening!
We are now getting the animal enclosures, air conditioning, & sprinkler system in place. Unfortunately, we are running out of money, so we need your donations to get the final fittings in place, for the shelter to open again.

The shell of our new shelter, with plumbing and wiring in place, is now complete – it is really heartening to see the phoenix rising from the ashes of our deadly fire.
It has taken a long time to get this far – past planning, organizational, and funding obstacles. But we are now three-quarters of the way to reopening.

We still have a long way to go until we can proceed further with construction – we now need to raise money for up-to-code dog kennels and outside runs, plus banks of cat cages. We are dependent on the generosity of supporters. Please contribute to our GoFundMe Appeal – or you can make a donation via Paypal.

The interior must be finished: Dog Pens, Cat Condos, Free Roam Cat Room Furnishings, Large Grooming Equipment, and more.
Rebuilding costs a lot more than anticipated. It has been a long slow process but we are rebuilding!
